Uruguay, beautiful all year round.
Uruguay is a small country located in the south of the continent between the countries of Brazil and Argentina, and surrounded by the river Uruguay, the Río de la Plata (River Plate) and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a great variety of tourist destinations such as amazing beaches, vibrant cities, typical hostels, thermal regions and beautiful historical places. Its cleanliness, safety, cultural and health offer make this one of the countries with the best quality of life in the region and an excellent destination for travelers looking for moments of fun and relaxation.
Montevideo
Throughout Latin America, capital cities are unmissable destinations for their historical and cultural richness, although they are not always the most tourist cities and Montevideo is not the exception. This city perfectly combines the avant-garde and its past as a Spanish colonial city, preserving architectural treasures such as the Cabildo, the Matriz Church and the gate of the citadel.
A tour of Montevideo should include a visit to its most important tourist attractions, the Rambla is one of them. Known as the most beautiful street in the city, La Rambla is an avenue that runs along the coast of the Rio de la Plata, where you can find green spaces, beaches, clubs, restaurants, monuments, etc. In the day the beaches of La Rambla are excellent places to sunbathe and a good bath, and in the evening it offers wonderful views and plans for all tastes.
The Japanese Garden, the Salvo Palace, the artisan market among many others, are part of the interesting places to visit in the city.
Punta del Este
Punta del Este is a city located on a narrow strip of land that separates the Rio de la Plata from the Atlantic Ocean and is the most paradisiacal place on the Uruguayan coast. It has been compared to Saint Tropez for the beauty of its beaches and its luxurious architecture. The geographical location of Punta del Este allows natural conditions of singular beauty such as white sands, blue waters, dunes, islands, lagoons, mountains and forests.
In addition to activities on the beach, Punta del Este there are some lagoons such as the Sauce lagoons, the Diario, Blanca, José Ignacio and Garzón where you can practice sports such as kite surfing, skiing and wakeboarding.
Colonia del Sacramento
This city built on the banks of the Rio de la Plata was declared as a historical and cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO is known as one of the best tourist places in Uruguay. Here, visitors will find culture and magic linked to their particular history in which the traditions of Portuguese and Spanish colonizers are mixed. Its cobblestone streets, picturesque colonial houses and the sunsets over the Rio de la Plata are the charms that captivate the travelers who arrive here.
