5 DAYS BEST OF UGANDA GORILLA TREKKING

Day 1: Arrival-Overnight in Kampala

Meet and Greet at Entebbe airport/Kampala by our staff who will later transfer you to your overnight accommodation in Kampala City Town. Overnight at Namirembe Guest House (BB)

Day 2: Kampala to Bwindi NP

7.30am Transfer by private car from Kampala/Entebbe to Lake Bunyonyi near the Gorilla Sanctuary of Bwindi. Lunch will be en-route in Mbarara at Igongo cultural center. Depending on the arrival time, you may opt for a guided village walk around the lake. Other activities you can enjoy are: canoe ride on the lake, take a boat ride to the islands, or look out for the rich bird life. Transit Time: 6-7 hours, Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner. Overnight at Crater bay Cottages (FB)

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking

You will be escorted to the National Parks headquarters after an early breakfast at 6am, to meet your guides for the day for your gorilla trekking experience. An early morning trek into the forest on the slopes of the volcanoes, led by experienced trackers, will bring you amongst a family of Mountain Gorillas. These massive primates are extremely rare, with only approximately 650 remaining. You will get within metres of the family, and be privileged to spend time with them. Time permitting. Return to the camp for a late lunch and relax for the rest of the evening, Meal Plan–Lunch and Dinner, Meals and overnight at Crater bay Cottages (FB)

Day 4: Tour of Lake Bunyonyi-Relaxation

After Breakfast, take a drive to the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, where you will take a boat to visit some of the 29 islands on the lake most which has a lot of culture and history as you will be explained by the Guides. After return back to the Lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon, you may opt to visit more communities or relax at the lodge. Meals and overnight at Crater bay Cottages (FB)

Day 5: Departure to Kigali-Rwanda

After an early breakfast, drive to Uganda Katuna border, and cross to Rwanda Kigali, you will be dropped at the Kigali Airport for your connecting flight back. Transit Time-3 to 4hrs
