This unique budget and private wildlife tour in Uganda, “The pearl of Africa” will expose you to major Africa safari experiences like gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, cultural encounter, hikes, beautiful scenery, game drives for 4 of the big fives and boat cruise adventures that will excite and definitely meet your bucket list. All these will take place in multiple parks like Bwindi impenetrable NP, Kibale NP, Queen Elizabeth NP and Lake Mburo NP through central, western and southern Uganda.

Arrival

  • You’ll be collected from the airport (or hotel).
  • Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe – 1st day

You shall be warmly welcomed by our guide upon arrival at Entebbe international airport and driven to Entebbe/Kampala for an overnight stay, however some activities may be suggested at a cost in case time allows between arrival and dinner time depending on the clients preference. Dinner and overnight stay at Airport guest house.

Transfer to Fort portal – 2nd day

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, head to Kibale national park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee tracking and then slope into the forest looking for chimpanzees while there, you shall be able to view primates like chimpanzees, the black and white colobus monkeys, the bush baby among other primates and their other ways of living. Enjoy your packed lunch and after go for a swamp walk in bigodi wetland sanctuary where you shall see other primates like baboons, grey checked mangabeys, red tailed monkeys, the wetland also has beautiful flora and fauna with about 138 bird species. Have dinner and an overnight stay at Chimp view guest house or Kibale forest camp.

Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk at Bigodi – 3rd day

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Evening game drive – 4th day

Wake-up call from the beautiful sounds of birds in the park, Enjoy an early morning breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park with famous wildlife like hippos, buffaloes, elephants, kobs, a number of bird species not forgetting the famous tree climbing lions spotted clinging on old fig trees within the Ishasha sector. Have a mouth watering lunch at the lodge and later have an evening game drive. Refresh and after enjoy your dinner and an overnight stay at the Bush lodge.

Game drive and afternoon launch cruise at Kazinga channel – 5th day

Wake up to a hearty breakfast and head for a game drive. The park supports 4 of the big fives that is; lion, leopard, elephant and buffaloes besides that there are spotted hyenas, water bucks, Uganda Kobs, warthogs not forgetting birds most of which are found in the Albertan rift valley. The park also has the highest bio-diversity rating in the world from savannah to rain forest, later have lunch and head to mweya for a jetty boat cruise in the afternoon at kazinga channel a habitat to Nile crocodiles, hippos, bird species among others. This is one of the most preferred activities because it gives you a great view of the birds and mammals. Kazinga channel connects lakes Edward and George as well as acting as the drinking point for numerous animals in the park. Have dinner and an overnight stay at the Bush lodge.

Game drive within Ishasha for the Tree climbing lions – 6th day

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and set off to the Ishasha sector home of the popular tree climbing lions. You shall first stop over to the lodge for a mouth watering lunch, check-in and hope the safari van for an afternoon game drive in search of the tree climbing lions. Spend time enjoying the view of the park and the lions clinging on the fig trees, later dinner and overnight stay at the river lodge.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – 7th day

Enjoy a warm breakfast and have a game en-route in the Ishasha sector in search of the tree climbing lions (Optional) this will give you such an amazing experience as you can see the tree climbing lions hanging on the old fig trees. Other animals like the kobs, elephant’s buffaloes among others may be spotted, later head to Bwindi Impenetrable national park have lunch upon reaching the lodge, relax and have personal time, later dinner and an overnight stay.

Gorilla trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – 8th day

After your delicious breakfast with packed lunch, you shall go for briefing at the park head quarters about gorilla tracking, after hike into the forest in search of the fascinating mountain gorillas. Get a chance to look at their deep rare eyes, the way they feed among other interesting things about the ancient apes that are endangered in the world. Gorilla tracking can take up to 8 hours depending on the kind of weather and where the gorillas are at that particular time. Bwindi features a minimum of 400 gorillas in which 12 gorilla groups are habituated for trekking, there are 4 regions from which one can trek that is; Ruhija, Buhoma, Nkuringo, and Rushaga. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi famously known as “The little Switzerland of Africa” – 9th day

After breakfast you shall have a scenic view of Kabale and feel the cool temperatures during transfer to lake Bunyonyi, the cool temperatures have awarded this area as the Switzerland of Africa because of its resemblance to the Swiss Alps, have lunch at the lodge and go for canoeing on lake Bunyonyi the second larva dammed lake in Africa with 29 small islands. The lake is completely free from Bilharzias and has numerous bird species like the black rump button-quail, cattle egrets, pink-backed pelican, papyrus gonolek and so much more. Have dinner and an overnight stay at Bunyonyi view gorilla packers.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – 10th day

Wake up to a beautiful morning and a treat to delicious breakfast, after embark on a journey to Lake Mburo national park passing through the impressive landscape of South-Western Uganda. The park is famous for large population of zebras, dickers, bush bucks and band antelopes, a variety of forest bird species can also be viewed during the game drive, nature walk and boat cruise. You shall have lunch and a tour to the museum for more exclusive information about the ankole people. Dinner and overnight stay at Rwakobo rock lodge.

Early morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise – 11th day

Enjoy your freshly prepared breakfast and lets go for the morning game drive. The landscape is beautiful and exposes you to beautiful animals like zebras, antelopes and also other bird species then go the lodge for a yummy lunch then head back to the park and enjoy the boat cruise as well as aquatic animals. Dinner and overnight stay at Rwakobo rock lodge.

During travel make a stopover at the Uganda equator crossing Kayabwe for an amazing photo shoot moment making 77Km to Kampala. Note that the transfer to Kampala or Entebbe international airport depends on the clients’ travel ticket.
