This package covers a range of extensive activities and tour experiences covered over a 10 day period. Starting arrival at the Hosea Kutako International airport
DAY 1- ARRIVAL WINDHOEK
We pick up guests from the airport and drop them at their accommodation before enjoying what the city of Windhoek has to offer.
DAY 2 – WINDHOEK – ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK – NAMUTONI REST CAMP
We collect the guests from their accommodation and depart for Etosha National Park on A1 Main road. We head towards Okahandja, Otjiwarongo a “Cheetah” town and continue on A1 road to Von Lindequist Gate leading us to Etosha National Park, Namutoni Rest Camp.
DAY 3 – NAMUTONI – OKAUKUEJO REST CAMP
After a relaxed breakfast, we game drive passing through the Etosha Salt Pan Outlook Point and visiting various waterholes on route to Okaukuejo Rest Camp. Okaukuejo Rest Camp is an administrative centre of Etosha, characterised by its stone tower. This camp was formerly a military outpost founded in 1901 and the tower was later added in 1963. Within Okaukuejo Rest Camp, we also find the Etosha Ecological Institute.
After sunset, the floodlight illuminates the waterhole. This is the best opportunity and place to see the endangered black rhino, lion, elephant, Hartmann’s zebra, springbok and many other animals and birds.
DAY 4 – ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK – KHORIXAS
After having a homely breakfast, we depart Okaukuejo and head towards Khorixas in Damaraland. Okaukuejo Rest Camp is 17 km away from Anderson Gate. Khorixas region is in the sparsely populated northwest of Namibia and this is the land of the last free-roaming black rhino and the desert elephant as well as the site of the Bushmen rock art in Twyfelfontein.
DAY 5 – KHORIXAS – SWAKOPMUND
After a filling breakfast, we depart for Swakopmund passing through Uis and the Brandberg Mountain. We will be travelling on a gravel road towards the Atlantic Ocean. We pass through Henties Bay which is a coastal town in the Erongo Region of western Namibia. It is located 70 km north of Swakopmund and is an important holiday settlement.
DAY 6 – SWAKOPMUNDFOR SWAKOPMUND
After a leisurely breakfast we drive to Walvis Bay and sail the Catamaran, a boat cruise viewing seals and sea life in the cold Atlantic Ocean. The area of the Namib Desert around Swakopmund is named the West Coast Recreational Area. And recreation is the town’s number one tourists pulling factor. There are countless pursuits to help you spend your time, and money. Often referred to as little Germany in Namibia, here you will find many references of the German colonial period.
DAY 7 – SWAKOPMUND – SOSSUSVLEI
Early this morning, we head to Sossusvlei on C14 road. Situated in the largest conservation area in Africa (the NamibNaukluft National Park), Sossusvlei is possibly Namibia’s most spectacular and best-known attraction. Characterised by the large red dunes that surround it, Sossusvlei has a large, white, salt and clay pan and is a great destination all year round. The dunes in this area are some of the highest in the world, reaching almost 400 meters, and provide photographic enthusiasts with wonderful images in the beautiful morning and evening light.
DAY 8 – SOSSUSVLEI
Dead Vlei is the highlight of the park early morning we have breakfast at Dune 45, which means it is 45 km into the Naukluft Park. We will also visit Dead vlei and view the Big Daddy Dune that is right behind Dead Vlei. In the afternoon we will chill by the cool swimming pool. Sossusvlei is the name of an enormous clay pan, flanked by the famous sand dunes that flush red in the early morning sun – as well as the name of the area in general. Close to the Sossusvlei pan is Dead Vlei, another pan where water once flowed, but now all that remains are the skeletons of trees reach up out of the cracked earth.
DAY 9 – SOSSUSVLEI – WINDHOEK
After breakfast we greet farewell to one of the most photographed places in the world and drive to Solitaire where we stop for the famous Apple pie. After lunch we pass through the mountain passes on route to Windhoek. We arrive late afternoon in Windhoek and look back at the unforgettable Namibia journey.
DAY 10 – WINDHOEK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
On this last day depending on the departure guests spend the morning enjoying the city of Windhoek. We then transfer the guests to the international airport for their home flight.
