What documents are required to apply for a visa in Tanzania?

• Your passport (minimum 6 months validity)
• (2) Two recent passport size photos
• Return ticket (a copy of the individual or group flight itinerary, hotel reservation or travel agency invitation, including travel dates of the travel agent)
• Registration fees are usually between $50 and $100.

Visa applications may be submitted on behalf of other applicants. Children need visas and fees are the same as for adults.

Citizens of 23 countries and territories must obtain a visa beforehand from the Tanzanian diplomatic mission.

Entry visa on arrival

All other nationalities, who are not visa exempt, can obtain a visa upon arrival. it is possible to obtain a tourist visa to enter one of the following four main entry points into Tanzania, in accordance with all immigration and health requirements through these points:

• Dar es Salaam International Airport
• Zanzibar International Airport
• Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA)
• Namangan Port of Entry (Tanzania-Kenya border point)

The visa must be paid with 50 USD or 100 USD notes. The length of stay is determined at the ports of entry.
